Lionheart
Ojos Claros, Serenos Francisco Guerrero (1528-1599)
Lionheart is one of America's leading ensembles in vocal chamber music, best known for its interpretation of medieval and Renaissance a cappella music, with Gregorian Chant as the keystone of its repertoire. The ensemble also collaborates with instrumental ensembles, dance companies, and contemporary composers.
Asteria
Languir me Fais Claudin de Sermisy (c. 1490-1562)
Asteria brings out the passion and emotional impact of late medieval vocal and instrumental music with timeless love songs of wide appeal, transporting their listeners back to the age of chivalry. Their historically informed settings are based on extensive archival research into original sources in Paris, The Hague, and Basel, Switzerland.
Since its founding in 1972, the New York Consort of Viols has championed the beauty and breadth of music written expressly for or especially suited to the viol. The Consort has performed for enthusiastic audiences on campuses and in concert series throughout North America.
Spiritus Collective
Canzon duodecimi toni Giovanni Gabrieli (c. 1554-1612)
Taking its name from the Latin word 'spritus', [with breath; with sprit; with inspiration], Spiritus Collective unites these concepts to produce meaningful performances utilizing period brass instruments (natural trumpet, cornett and sackbut), combined with period strings and voices.
Parthenia
Hugh Ashton's Maske Hugh Ashton (c. 1485-1558)
Parthenia is a dynamic ensemble exploring the extraordinary repertory for viols from Tudor England to the court of Versailles and beyond. Known for its remarkable sense of ensemble, Parthenia is presented in concerts across America, and produces its own lively and distinguished concert series at Corpus Christi Church in NYC.
Ivory Consort
Stella spendens from the Llibre Vermell (late 14th c.)
The Ivory Consort specializes in medieval music performed in an exciting and historically informed manner. For over ten years, they have brought ancient music to life on stage and over the radio with stunning clarity and bold improvisation. The Consort presents a fascinating mosaic of songs from the Golden Age of Spain, when Jews, Muslims, and Christians forged a common musical language.
Trefoil
Se Dedalus Pierre Taillander (fl. 1390)
Trefoil is a trio of singer-instrumentalists long active in early music. The ensemble performs intricate medieval songs on harps, lute and voices and has appeared in numerous concerts and master classes around the country.
Repast
Ciaccona Andrea Falconiero (1586-1656)
Repast performs baroque music on baroque violin, viola da gamba or baroque cello, harpsichord, and theorbo in a graceful and energetic manner. The ensemble was a finalist in the Early Music America competition in 2003 and currently presents a concert series at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.
ARTEK

Founded in 1986 by director Gwendolyn Toth, ARTEK has gained a reputation for exciting, dramatic performances of baroque music. Their concerts are full of compelling musical settings of beautiful poetry and infectious dance rhythms that infuse the performances with vitality and spirit.
My Lord Chamberlain's Consort
Now, O now, I needs must part John Dowland (1563-1626)
My Lord Chamberlain's Consort was formed in 1997 to present a complete performance of John Dowland's landmark First Book of Songs or Ayres in its 400th anniversary year. In the past ten years, MLCC has won acclaim for its refined approach to ensemble singing, its entertaining approach to the Elizabethan repertoire, and the variety and originality of its vocal and instrumental arrangements.
