Tina Chancey directs Hesperus and plays early and traditional fiddles and viola da gamba on roots music from Sephardic and Irish to early music and rock. Her specialty is the pardessus de viole; after debut concerts at Carnegie Recital Hall and Kennedy Center, she has made four pardessus recordings with a fifth, Fêtes Galantes, in preparation.
