303 Opera FeroceIn a departure from their traditional "less-than-traditional-but-still-definitely-Baroque" fare, the singers of Opera Feroce try their vocal cords at some somewhat earlier Early Music. Renaissance trios and lute songs by Dowland, Dering, Janequin and others. With guest Mark Ettinger on fretful instruments.

Opera Feroce, a baroque opera company "en miniature," (in other words, small) debuted in 2010 with Amor & Psyche, a pasticcio opera which has received 25 performances to date. They delight in sending up baroque performance practice in all its over-the-topness, while remaining grounded in serious music making.

Beth Anne Hatton, soprano
Hayden DeWitt, mezzo-soprano
Alan Dornak, countertenor
Mark Ettinger, viola da gamba and baroque guitar
