P Telemann, including one of Bach's Cello Suites, two Telemann Sonatas from the Essercizii Musici, and Suites illustrating the gracious elegance of the French Baroque by J. M. Hotteterre and Francois Couperin.

Ensemble BREVE was inaugurated in 1985 in New York City, as a group offering unique programs of music from many eras on original instruments, in historically informed style. BREVE, the name of the ensemble refers to the essence of great music making - its heartbeat. A breve symbol originally defined the tactus (pulse) a single beat. BREVE has toured the United States, Mexico, and Europe .

Midtown Concerts sponsors lunchtime performances of music of the 18th century and earlier. Ensembles are chosen by a panel of early-music specialists from the metropolitan area.
