Sarah Sorab Ronn webSarah Pillow ~ soprano
Ronn McFarlane ~ lute
Sorab Wadia ~ tenor/actor

Soprano Sarah Pillow, lutenist Ronn McFarlane, and actor Sorab Wadia perform ballads and love songs with Shakespeare’s most famous poetry. The music is chosen from over a hundred songs referenced, inserted or quoted in Shakespeare’s plays, interspersed with some of his most famous sonnets — the origin for which comes from the Italian word for ‘sound’: suono.

Soprano Sarah Pillow (“a genuinely genre-busting voice, full and vivid”) [The Washington Post] and lutenist Ronn McFarlane (“probably the finest living exponent of his instrument”) [The Times Colonist, Victoria, B.C.] are joined by singer/actor Sorab Wadia (“in Sorab Wadia…they have a performer of real class”) [The Times, UK] to recite corresponding sonnets to the songs and lute ayres referenced in many Shakespearean plays.
