Concordian DawnIllicit Behavior.

Descriptions of people, governments, and religious institutions behaving badly abound in the middle ages. This program explores music that depicts deviant and morally questionable behavior, songs of sex and lust, bastard children, murderous acts, greed, and malice. Featuring selections from the Carmina Burana MS, Florence 29.1, Sarum Antiphonale, St. Gallenstiftsbiblioteque MS, among others.

Concordian Dawn specializes in Medieval vocal repertoire, drawing on primary source material and focusing on socio-philosophical similarities between texts from centuries ago and the mindset of modern society in order to produce a musical experience that connects the human condition of the past to the familiar experiences of the present.

Christopher Preston Thompson, Artistic Director, tenor, medieval harp
