Astride Peace and War - the music of John Jenkins, Master of the Musicke Art.

Renowned as a composer and for his instrumental virtuosity on the viola da gamba and lute, John Jenkins produced a wealth of fun, flashy, and tuneful music for intimate ensembles of just a few players. Our concert will feature some of our favorite selections of “divisions” (and pieces for lyra viol, performed by members of LeStrange and Parthenia.

LESTRANGE VIOLS presents refined and vigorous performances of intricate gems of the consort repertory. LeStrange was recently featured on the Music Before 1800 series in New York.
