An All-Bach New Year’s Eve
Join Amor Artis to ring in the New Year with the timeless brilliance of J.S. Bach. Led by Artistic Director Ryan James Brandau, with Nicholas DiEugenio and Ezra Seltzer of the Sebastians, they present the splendid Magnificat, BWV 243 and excerpts from Cantata 21 (“Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis”). Violinist Emmanuel Coppey, winner of the Barbash Family Bach String Competition, plays the ebullient Concerto for Violin in E Major, BWV 1042. The indelible, toe-tapping Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, BWV 1048 and the sublime “Dona Nobis Pacem” from the Mass in B minor complete the program.
