Palestrina 500 ~ A Christmas Tribute to the Master of Polyphony

A celebration of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, one of the greatest composers of the Renaissance, whose music shaped the sound of sacred choral music for centuries. Audiences will experience Palestrina’s luminous Christmas motet Hodie Christus Natus Est, his serene Sicut Cervus, and the majestic Sanctus from the Missa Papae Marcelli — alongside music by his contemporaries and by composers who have carried his legacy forward into the present day.
