Music in the Crypt: Out of the Shadows

In Music in the Crypt, Grammy®-Winning Experiential Orchestra and music director James Blachly invite audience members to the mysterious setting of the Crypt of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in a program that includes Beethoven’s Heiliger Dankgesang, a chorale from Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, and works by Caroline Shaw and Jessie Montgomery. Each piece interacts with the unique acoustics and atmosphere of the Crypt, evoking shadows and resonance.

Please note: Steps are required to reach the performance space.
