Join Opera Essentia for a preview of “Lost in Cyprus”, the company’s new distillation of Handel’s Tolomeo (1728), opening Memorial Day weekend in Alphabet City.

Opera Essentia provides under-reached communities with a transfixing art form, for FREE. The company curates the little-known stage works of Handel into one-hour, approachable performances in New York City gardens, libraries, and other neighborhood gathering centers (Alphabet City, Crown Heights, Flushing, etc.) This diverse company presents music which reaches the pinnacle of emotion in art, delivering a transformational experience that all can enjoy.

Thursdays, 1:15–2:00 pm

All concerts are free.
No tickets or reservations are necessary.

Venue is fully accessible. For patrons with walkers and wheelchairs, there is an elevator from street level, or there are ten steps from street level to the sanctuary level. There is an elevator from street level or sanctuary level to restrooms on the basement level.
