This program pairs medieval songs of transformative love from the mega-trouvère chansonnier Cangé — one of the most important 13th-century primary sources of monophonic trouvére melodies — with stunning polyphonic secular songs by Guillaume Dufay (1397–1474).

Concordian Dawn brings twelfth through fourteenth century primary source material to life for modern audiences. The ensemble’s third album, Veni Redemptor Gentium, was hailed as a “marvelous disk…abounding with tonal beauty, crisp articulation, and clear, expressive textual delivery” (Early Music America). Recent appearances include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Morgan Library, the Cambridge Society for Early Music, and others nationwide.
