Opera Essentia

Opera Essentia will hold its Year-End Fundraiser Saturday, December 14 at 4:00 pm. This one-hour concert/conversation will take place at the Old Stone House in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Please support Opera Essentia’s mission to bring under-reached New York City communities these curated Handel operas for FREE. Come hear selections from 2025’s “The Queen’s Heart“, their one-hour distillation of Radamisto, from 1720.

The New York State Council on the Arts has renewed Opera Essentia’s grant for a second year. While this is wonderful news, the award only covers about one fifth of the organization’s current budget. And they have big plans to grow the company, with a new division of community engagement and education outreach.

As a fiscal project of GEMS, all contributions to the company are fully tax-deductible. Even if you can’t join them on December 14, please donate to support free, public, world-class art in New York neighborhoods!
