Still Life with Dowland and Britten
While separated in life by 300 years, John Dowland and Benjamin Britten shared masterful gifts for setting poetry to music. This intimate program for two singers, lute, and harp reveals the engaging simplicity of the human voice’s ability to tell stories and capture the imagination of listeners. This performance features soprano Jolle Greenleaf, tenor Haitham Haidar, harpist Amanda Beranek, and lutenist Charles Weaver.
