Founded in the summer of 2007 by harpsichordist John Austin Clark and baroque violinist Nicolas Fortin, New York City based Bourbon Baroque specializes in the historically informed performance practice of 17th and 18th-century music for the promotion of public interest in the arts, culture, and lifestyle of the Baroque through collaboration and strategic partnerships. The ensemble varies in size based on a given program performing chamber music to full operatic spectacles throughout the year in a variety of venues. 2016-2017 appearances include the ensemble’s annual Messiah in Louisville, Kentucky and a collaboration with Empire City Men’s Chorus in New York City among other projects in New York City and Naples, Florida. www.bourbonbaroque.com
