Our semi-monthly email newsletter, Notes on the Scene, is devoted to early music events in and around New York and related news. It is emailed on the first, third, and fifth (when applicable) Thursdays of every month to an “opt-in” list of 8,000+ subscribers.

We have TWO TYPES of listings:

A paid listing for paid-ticket concerts (either virtual or in-person), which includes:

  • ensemble/musician name, program name, and an up to 80-word description about your event
  • a photo
  • a link (or links) to relevant sites for more information
  • a listing in the “Events Calendar” on our website with a link to your website or event page.

Our fee is $75–$275 per submission, based on your organization’s annual budget. See details about fees here. Charge it securely to a credit card, or choose for us to send you an invoice.

Note: If you wish to have your event included IN FULL in more than one newsletter, you must purchase multiple submissions.

A free listing for free events, live streams, or archived videos, which includes:

  • Up to 25-word description of video or event
  • link(s) to relevant site(s) for more information
  • a listing in the “Events Calendar” on our website, or our Video Links page, whichever applies.

        Subscribe to our weekly Midtown Concerts announcement and our twice-monthly e-newsletter, "Notes on the Scene", which includes information about upcoming events (virtual and in-person) sponsored by GEMS and other early music groups in New York and beyond, as well as updates about the Midtown Concerts series and Community News items.

        We also send out periodic emails about livestreams and special events.

        If you include your mailing address, you will also receive a brochure/concert announcement once or twice a year in the mail.
