Opera Lafayette pairs baroque opera & kuchipudi dance in an evening of poetry and love with the American premiere of Alessandro Scarlatti’s last major secular vocal work, Erminia, and Francesco Geminiani’s most famous instrumental composition, La forêt enchantée (The Enchanted Forest), performed in its original version as a dance pantomime. Both works based on Torquato Tasso's epic poem Jerusalem Delivered.
