Ensemble BREVEThe Magic of the High Baroque

Chamber music of J.S. Bach, G.P. Telemann, and G.F. Handel with Deborah Booth ~ recorder & traverso, Stephen Rapp ~ harpsichord, Lisa Terry ~ viola da gamba, and Jeremy Rhizor ~ violin. Ensemble BREVE was inaugurated in 1985 in New York City as a group offering unique programs of music from many eras on period instruments, in historically informed style. BREVE refers to the essence of great music making — its heartbeat. A breve symbol originally defined the tactus (pulse) or a single beat. BREVE has toured the United States, Mexico, and Europe.
