Gotham Early Music Scene (GEMS) Earns Candid’s 2023 Gold Seal of Transparency

GEMS proudly announces that it has earned Candid’s 2023 Gold Seal of Transparency on GuideStar. The official seal recognizes nonprofit organizations that demonstrate a deep commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, and operate from a position of strong financial health. Less than 2% of nonprofits registered with Candid are recognized with a Gold Seal. This high rating underscores GEMS’ adherence to industry best practices and putting your donation dollars to use responsibly and efficiently. Donors can support GEMS work with trust and confidence, knowing that their contributions serve a thriving early music scene in New York, build greater access for audiences and provide more work for the finest musicians in the genre, including our free weekly Midtown Concerts from September through June. GEMS also provides vital services to over 24 historical performance ensembles as their fiscal sponsor, so they may direct their energies to purely artistic endeavors.
