NewConsort Elizabeth van Os 2019 600x420Few works match the heartfelt expressions of love and grief of the Déplorations written by the great Franco-Flemish composers upon the deaths of their teachers and friends. For the 500th anniversary of Josquin des Prez's own death, The New Consort explores these remarkable works, including a newly commissioned Déploration from Simon Frisch on text from Josquin's epitaph and by poet Claire Trévien.
