ConcentusThe Essercizii Musici by Telemann is one of the most accomplished collections of chamber music written in the late Baroque. It consists of 24 works composed for various combinations of instruments. They are all very well-crafted pieces even though Telemann wrote this collection for amateur musicians at the time. Concentus will perform four of these sonatas for recorder, viola da gamba, and harpsichord.

Alex Yu ~ recorder
Ka-Wai Yu ~ viola da gamba and baroque cello
Dongsok Shin ~ harpsichord

Alex Yu and Ka-Wai Yu have grown up playing together in a musical family. They are joined by harpsichord virtuoso and historical keyboard specialist Dongsok Shin, with whom they have a shared passion to reach out to the community through early music and period instruments. The three are active music educators, clinicians and sought-after artists, travelling internationally to bring a witty fresh stream of Baroque Music to the audience.
