Hesperus performs its own early music soundtracks for innovative cartoons from the era just before Disney created Mickey Mouse.

Since 1979, audiences from Borneo to Bolivia have called Hesperus brilliant, eclectic, inspiring and just plain wonderful. Why? Because Hesperus makes connections between the rich musical past and curious 21st-century audiences through its collaborations with film, theater and world music.

Midtown Concerts sponsors lunchtime performances of music of the 18th century and earlier. Ensembles are chosen by a panel of early music specialists from the metropolitan area.
