Repast 2023 croppedDutch Masters: Music and Painting in the Early Baroque

Repast’s program portrays the exquisite intimacy of music and painting in Holland’s Golden Age. Works by the female composer Leonora Duarte, as well as Flemish and Dutch composers including Hacquart and Schop, are paired with paintings by Vermeer, Rubens, Frans Hals, and others. Images are projected behind the chamber ensemble that include Repast’s core musicians and Carmen Johnson-Pájaro (violin), Nina Stern (recorder), Adrienne Hyde (viola da gamba), and Adam Cockerham (theorbo).
