The all-professional Res Facta Vocal Ensemble presents Thomas Tallis: Variis Linguis. This richly varied program showcases this long-lived composer’s ability to create intensely beautiful works in any style and at any scale. Fifteen consummate vocal artists will explore vast soundscapes including the monumental votive antiphon Gaude Gloriosa, intimate miniatures including If Ye Love Me, exuberant responsories including Loquebantur Variis Lingus, poignant Lamentations, and the pristine polyphony of mature motets including O Sacrum Convivium and Salvator Mundi.
